We are delighted to announce that Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has been shortlisted for the Charity Collaboration of the Year award in recognition of our partnership with Young Lives vs Cancer’s Social Workers at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Established in 2022, this collaboration brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting children and families facing the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer. By working closely together, Noah’s Ark and Young Lives vs Cancer have developed a strong, effective partnership that helps ensure families receive coordinated, compassionate and personalised support when they need it most.
The teams have worked intentionally to strengthen communication, establish clear ways of working, and create a more joined-up approach to care. By sharing expertise and collaborating closely, professionals from both charities are able to provide holistic, wraparound support that considers the emotional, practical and social needs of children and their families alongside their medical care.
For families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis, the journey can be overwhelming, with many different services and professionals involved. This partnership helps to make that journey easier by ensuring support is connected, responsive and centred around each child and family’s individual needs.
Together, Noah’s Ark and Young Lives vs Cancer are committed to reducing barriers, improving experiences of care, and ensuring families feel supported throughout their journey. The collaboration demonstrates the power of charities working together, combining knowledge and expertise to create meaningful change.
Being shortlisted for Charity Collaboration of the Year is a wonderful recognition of the dedication and commitment of everyone involved. It celebrates the teams who work tirelessly behind the scenes to build relationships, improve services and make sure children and families receive the best possible support. We would like to thank Young Lives vs Cancer for their continued collaboration and partnership, and we look forward to celebrating this achievement together at the awards ceremony.
Whatever the outcome, being shortlisted is a testament to what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose: to make a lasting difference for children and families.
