The nearest Tube station is High Barnet (Northern Line).
To get to The Ark from High Barnet tube station, turn right out of the station and walk up the hill. The nearest bus stop is on the opposite side of the road, or you can walk (see map above).
The Ark is approximately a 20–25-minute walk (1.1 miles) from High Barnet Station.
Upon leaving the station, turn right and walk up the hill towards High Street. Keep walking up the High Street, past The Red Lion (on the left), past St John’s Church, then you’re on the main High Street. Turn left onto Salisbury Road then left onto Alston Road before turning right onto Wentworth Road and you will see Byng Road on your left. Follow Byng Road and you will see The Ark on your left.
The Ark is approximately 16 minutes on a bus from High Barnet Station. Upon leaving the station, turn right and walk up the hill towards High Street. At the traffic lights, cross the road and turn left to walk down the hill – you will see Bus Stop Q. You can get either the 263 towards Barnet Hospital, the 307 towards Barnet Hospital or the 107 towards Edgeware. All three buses stop at Union Street - Stop F (situated on Wood Street) and there are three stops before you need to get off. You will need to walk from here.
The Ark is approximately a 10 minutes’ walk (0.5 miles) from Union Street. After getting off the bus, turn left and walk back down Wood Street towards The Black Horse pub on the roundabout. Take the first exit on the roundabout and then the first exit on the next roundabout towards The Avenue. Follow this road until you come to Wentworth Road on the left. Turn left onto Wentworth Road and then left onto Byng Road. Follow Byng Road and you will see The Ark on your left.
If you are coming from the M25, exit at J23 and follow the signs for the A1081 St Albans Road to Barnet. After 2.4 miles, you will see Christ Church of England on your left and you will need to turn right onto Alston Road. Follow Alston Road for 0.5 miles then turn right onto Wentworth Road, then left onto Byng Road. Follow Byng Road and you will see The Ark on your left.
Parking is available at The Ark for families and visitors. However, if there are no spaces available, there are free parking facilities situated at the bottom of Byng Road. Continue past The Ark to the overflow car park at the bottom of the road, on the right-hand side. See photo on the left.
