Experience tells us sharing stories is effective; other families connect with your story and are encouraged to access our services or support our charity by volunteering or donating.
This prevents our key audiences from engaging with us – whether that’s using our services, referring those who could benefit from our care, or providing long-term sustainable support. It is through showing the direct impact that Noah’s Ark has on those we support that we can change minds, motivate action, and build trust.
We know that hearing stories of those we support helps those referred to us feel more comfortable accessing our service. And we also know that is through showing the genuine impact of Noah’s Ark that we can bring to life why this charity warrants funding, focus and support.
By sharing your story with our key audiences, you’ll play a vital role in building a better understanding of children’s palliative care and how we support families like your own.
Together, we can help create a better understanding of what children’s palliative care is and ensure more babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, get the support they need.
You are a family first and foremost. We encourage you to speak about your experiences as a family as a whole, not just in relation to your child’s condition.
We create empathy, not sympathy. Sharing your story should be an empowering experience, not one where you are left ‘felt sorry for'.
We always want you to show up exactly as you are. We will brief you on areas to focus on, but what is important is that you are your authentic selves. We never endorse or perpetuate stereotypes.
We collaborate with you when sharing your story. How much you share is always your choice. You can request changes to be made to case studies. You always can say no to any opportunity we present to you.
