Sibling Support

We believe in supporting the whole family and our work with siblings is a vital part of this.

We understand the impact that having a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition can have on a family and we’re here to help siblings to ensure they are supported too.

It’s our mission to help families make the most of every day. We enable young family members to have positive and fun experiences and to develop mutually supportive relationships with siblings from other families.

Once we accept your referral to Noah’s Ark our Family Link Team will work with you to access our support for siblings.

Creative Therapy for Siblings

We offer specialist therapy services in Music, Art and Drama and Movement. Designed to support your child’s development, encourage play opportunities and help your child to express themselves.

Our therapies help to address individual physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs. Our professionally registered therapists deliver sessions in The Ark, at home or at your child’s school.

Groups and Events for Siblings

Our Family Activities Team really know how to do fun! Every three months the team offer a new action-packed calendar full of age appropriate activities for four different groups from pre-school through to teenagers.

Weekend Away for Siblings

Each year our Family Activities Team organise a special residential weekend away at PGL. Siblings can join the team and our trained volunteers to enjoy an unforgettable experience. From rock-climbing and canoeing to archery and zip-lining, plus a silent disco, PGL is all about making memories to last a lifetime.

The weekends offer for many what is their first experience of a few nights away from home and our expert team are on hand to make sure it’s a fun, safe and memorable time.

Support for Teenage Siblings

We get that being a teenager can be tough at times. Our Family Activities Team can help – the team has two groups that you can join. Our Meet Ups offer the chance to hang out with friends, tuck into some food and enjoy a bit of entertainment – Tesla have even turned up in the past with their supercars to check out. You never quite know what will happen.
