As Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice marks its 20th anniversary, our annual autumn campaign, From That Moment, returns for its fifth year. We're aiming to raise £1 million towards our annual operating costs of more than £7 million. Through the campaign, we're calling on our supporters and local community to help ensure we can continue providing vital care and support to children with life-threatening or life-shortening conditions, and their families, when they need it most.
Our From That Moment campaign will run from 1 September to 12 October 2026. Thanks to the generosity of our campaign's match-funding partners, every donation made during the appeal will be doubled*, helping every pound go twice as far in supporting children who are seriously unwell and their families.
Supporters can kick off the campaign by joining Noah's Ark at Glitz and Giving, the sparkling highlight of our special events calendar, on 19 September 2026. Tickets cost £30, including a welcome drink and nibbles, with all profits going directly to Noah's Ark Children’s Hospice. On 6 August 2026, Joanne McCartney, London’s Deputy Mayor for Children and Families, visited The Ark for a tour alongside High Barnet's newly elected councillors, James Esses (Conservative) and Emma Whysall (Labour). During the visit, they helped bury a time capsule containing 20 messages from children and families we support, to commemorate our anniversary.
London’s Deputy Mayor for Children and Families, Joanne McCartney, said:
“It was an honour to visit Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice as it marks its 20th anniversary and to meet the remarkable children, families, staff and volunteers that make it so special. Seeing firsthand the vital care and support they provide was truly inspiring. I wish them well with their annual autumn campaign, which will help ensure this invaluable service can continue changing lives for years to come.”
Conservative Councillor for High Barnet, James Esses, said:
“I wish no child ever needed hospice care. But for those that do and end up at Noah’s Ark, I know that they are in a truly special place; filled with warmth, care, compassion, and even laughter and joy. So much has been achieved in the first 20 years of Noah’s Ark and it was a privilege to join them to celebrate this milestone. I have no doubt that they will go from strength to strength over the next 20 years.”
Labour Councillor for High Barnet, Emma Whysall, said:
“It was wonderful to see the truly inspirational work of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. We are so lucky to have such an amazing centre in the heart of our community. For 20 years they have supported children and families - let us hope that Noah’s Ark continues to prosper with the support of the community for another 20 years.”
Children’s hospices are under increasing financial pressure as demand for services continues to grow. A recent Together for Short Lives report (16 June 2026) found that average charitable expenditure increased by 18%, while 60% (two-thirds) of children’s hospices ended the year operating at a deficit. In England, children’s hospices provide almost £4 of care for every £1 contributed by the NHS and local authorities, with most funding coming from charitable income. Noah’s Ark relies on voluntary donations for 76% of our income.

Fundraise for Us
Whether you fundraise on your own or with your community, you can make a huge difference this autumn. Host a quiz, take on a run, organise a bake sale, or create something completely your own, knowing that every pound you raise will be matched as part of this year’s From That Moment appeal. We can provide you with everything you need to make fundraising simple, meaningful and fun.
This year, we are also running two virtual challenge events to make it even easier for people to support their local children’s hospice. Step-tember invites individuals to take on 90 miles in September. Whether they walk, run, cycle, wheel, swim, hop or skip, they can challenge themselves to travel 90 miles that month, knowing every pound raised will make a life-changing difference.
Companies can also make a difference by taking part in the Walking 9–5 challenge, a step-counting, team-building, feel-good fundraising challenge designed for businesses.
