A special piece of memorial artwork has been created to honour Kinnari, a little girl supported by Noah’s Ark whose life, though tragically short, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
This artwork stands not only as a tribute to her memory but as a celebration of the vibrant, joyful, and loving person she was.
The artwork, created by Flukez - an artist specialising in graffiti art, street art and murals - is now at home in The Lounge, our new dedicated space for young people at The Ark which opened in June thanks to the kind support of Kinnari’s family, MariaMarina Foundation and the 2023 Winter Ball Committee.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice started supporting Anand Patel, his wife Savita, and their daughter, Kinnari in 2022. Sadly, Kinnari died soon after at the age of twelve. The family, who now live in Dubai, helped to fund The Lounge to honour Kinnari’s memory and celebrate her personality and the things that she enjoyed. They also commissioned the artwork from Flukez, to capture the essence of Kinnari. They also funded a beautiful neon sign that brightly displays one of Kinnari’s favourite sayings – ‘I don’t like it, I love it.’
Kinnari had a bright and mischievous sense of humour that could light up any room. She was very sociable, making friends wherever she went, effortlessly connecting with people of all ages with her warm heart and infectious energy.

The memorial artwork is a colourful and dynamic representation of Kinnari’s favourite things. Shades of purple and pink, her most-loved colours, swirl together in the background, with striking butterflies - symbols of freedom and transformation. Each butterfly carries a nod to Kinnari’s love for creativity.
Music was a source of joy for Kinnari. She especially adored the tunes of Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, and the vibrant world of Bollywood. She loved dancing and singing from an early age, had a passion for puzzles, games, sport and she was a foodie of all cuisines, especially pizza and cake!
Most of all, Kinnari lived life to the full. She brought joy and laughter to those around her. The memorial artwork stands as a lasting symbol of that light - a celebration of her life, in colour and movement. It reminds us to embrace life with the same playful courage, generosity, and joy that Kinnari showed every single day.
