We are proud to be one of 127 hospices taking part in Hospice UK’s ‘This is Hospice Care’ campaign, which rolled out today following a successful 2025 campaign.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the vital role hospices play in communities and to shift public perceptions of hospice care. The campaign launches with a powerful TV advert based on real-life hospice stories. The goal is to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their Will to support their local hospice, helping ensure these essential services can continue to provide compassionate and specialist care for generations to come.
Most UK Adults Don't Have a Will
A recent study showed that only 28% of UK adults have a Will - meaning nearly 40 million people do not. Without a Will, estates are distributed according to government intestacy rules, which may not reflect an individual’s wishes.

Why We Need Your Support
Each year, we support over 380 children and their families, yet there are 2,500 children in our catchment area who could benefit from our care and this number is growing. Medical advances mean that children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions are living longer, increasing the demand for specialist services.
With only 19% of our annual income coming from statutory funding, we rely heavily on fundraising and donations from the community - including gifts in Wills - to continue providing these vital services.
