Last week, we gathered for our annual Summer Dinner for bereaved families – a special evening where families come together to remember, reflect, and reconnect.
This year, the dinner also quietly acknowledged Bereaved Parents Day, which took place earlier in the week.
The event provides space for families to share stories and listen, offering and receiving support while navigating life after the death of a child.
Parents enjoyed a three-course meal together, with time to talk openly in the company of others who understand, while children were well taken care of by our play team and volunteers.
Carys, our Bereavement Support Manager, said:
“These evenings offer a quiet space where parents can be heard, without needing to explain. Simply being with others who understand can bring comfort.”
