His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester has visited Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in north London. The Duke, the cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, unveiled a commemorative plaque and took the opportunity to thank employees and volunteers for their commitment to the hospice.
Escorted by Noah’s Ark’s CEO, Sophie Andrews OBE, His Royal Highness was given a tour of the charity’s specialist facility, The Ark, which is set in a stunning 7.5-acre nature reserve. The Duke took the time to speak to employees and volunteers of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, all of whom are dedicated to helping improve the quality of life and experience of death for children who are seriously unwell and their families.
Reflecting on Noah’s Ark’s royal visit, Sophie Andrews OBE, CEO of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, said:
