From That Moment Appeal Smashes £1 Million Target!

14 October 2025

Together, we did it!

Our fourth From That Moment appeal, which launched at the start of September, has raised over £1,056,000, exceeding our ambitious £1 million target!

These crucial funds will help cover some of the £7 million required each year to run Noah’s Ark. Over 2,000 people supported the campaign – a wonderful demonstration of community spirit and compassion.

Every Donation Doubled

Every donation throughout the campaign was doubled thanks to our generous backers, and the £1 million milestone was reached during the 36-hour giving window, which ended at 10pm on Monday 13th October.

Throughout the campaign, individuals, schools, groups, and businesses came together to make a real difference to the lives of children who are seriously unwell and their families.

We are so proud of our community for achieving this incredible result together. Here are just a few of the inspiring stories from the appeal:

90 Miles Their Way: Step-tember

Hundreds of supporters signed up to take part in Step-tember, our first ever virtual fundraising challenge. In rain or shine, participants committed to 90 miles in September for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

Itohan cycled from London to Brighton as part of the challenge. Reflecting on her experience, she said:

“Noah’s Ark’s compassionate care during the most difficult times is deeply inspiring, and I wanted to help ensure more families could benefit from their incredible support. Taking part in the Step-tember Challenge made the experience even more meaningful knowing that every donation was doubled and the impact of our efforts was amplified.”

Two more Step-tember stars were Specialist Carer, Sophie and her wife Leah. Leah has Hip Dysplasia, which left her in a wheelchair from 2012 until an operation in 2024. She was also part of Team GB’s Wheelchair Basketball Team at the 2016 Paralympic Games. Leah said:

“A year ago I couldn’t even stand, let alone walk! Learning to walk again after 12 years has been an accomplishment in itself, but to have walked over 90 miles for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice throughout September, helping raise vital funds for the families they support, has been an amazing achievement that I never could have imagined possible.”

A Night of Glamour and Generosity: Glitz and Giving

Now in its second year, Glitz and Giving brought together supporters for a night of celebration and generosity. Guests enjoyed music from Radio DJ, and special friend of the charity, Melvin Odoom, who kept the dance floor full all evening. To top it off, one lucky guest went home with a one-carat diamond, courtesy of our event sponsor V-Jewellers.

Melvin Odoom said:

"It was a real pleasure to return to Glitz and Giving for its second year. Just like last year, the incredible atmosphere and the crowd's generosity helped raise much-needed funds for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. The work they do makes a real difference to children and families across north and central London."

Fundraising as a Business: Walking 9–5

In 2024, Noah’s Ark’s corporate partner Payen, an award-winning fintech company, launched the Walking 9–5 Challenge. This year, the initiative became part of the From That Moment campaign, combining step-counting, team building, and fundraising.

Richard Smith, CEO of Payen, said:

“Payen is so proud to be partnered with Noah’s Ark Hospice, as we truly believe it is one of the most deserving causes in the UK right now. We wanted to get involved in the ‘Walking 9–5’ campaign to make a positive social impact and involve every single employee. It’s become one of the social highlights of our year.”

Thank you so much to Cynergy and MiHomes who also took on the Walking 9-5 challenge.

Going the Distance for Noah’s Ark

Many of our sporty supporters went the extra mile, from the Swim Serpentine to the Royal Parks Half Marathon, raising vital funds so we can continue to be there for more families.

Elaine running Royal Parks

One very special runner was Elaine, mum to Willow, who are supported by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

“Noah's Ark have done so much for us all, not just Willow, but my whole family. The events, the days out, everything is so amazing. We wanted to give something back, not just for us but for all the children and families they support.”

Elaine and Willow were the faces of our 2024 From That Moment campaign. We are so thankful for all their support. You can read more about their story here.

Reaching New Heights

The Taylor Wimpey North Thames team took on the legendary National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales – a distance of 37km with an elevation gain of more than 10,000 feet!

As well as this phenomenal fundraising feat, Taylor Wimpey also backed the campaign, donating £50,000 raised at their golf day to our backers’ pot.

Supporters Getting Creative

Many supporters chose creative ways to raise funds:

Our Music Therapists hosted Singing for the Soul, an uplifting community singing workshop.

Reed Recruitment organised a lively quiz night in Enfield. Area Manager, Zehra said:

“We set out to bring the community together while raising funds for an incredibly worthy cause, and the response was just amazing. The event was full of energy and laughter, but knowing it was all in support of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice made it truly meaningful.”

Students and staff at London Brookes College hosted a Wear Red Day and the Student Council organised a fundraising bake sale in aid of Noah's Ark.
