Global Treehouse Foundation/Magnify

15 May 2026

The Global Treehouse Foundation (Global Treehouse) is a UK-registered charity dedicated to building strong, innovative children's palliative care systems worldwide. Established in 2021, it connects providers and investors to accelerate new services, with a focus on assisting eight million children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.

Their vision is that every child, regardless of their health condition, receives the palliative care support they need to live life to the fullest. Their mission is to catalyse change, scale investments, and build a supportive community to advance paediatric palliative care globally.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice (Noah’s Ark) are proud to be part of the Global Treehouse family, supporting them to build a community of locally rooted, globally connected initiatives to transform children’s palliative care worldwide.

Together with over 60 other Children’s Palliative Care (CPC) providers from over 20 countries, Noah’s Ark helped to create The Magnify Tool (Magnify). Magnify is an open-source customisable data tool for children’s palliative care providers/teams to share and explore service data and information to help CPC providers identify their strengths and areas for improvement in service delivery. Magnify has over 100 metrics aligned into 10 focus areas, from holistic clinician practices with families to considerations of facility needs by offering real-world case examples, relevant resources, and evidence-informed articles aligned by metric.

How Noah’s Ark’s Supported the Creation of Magnify

Noah’s Ark created two teams, made up of staff and led by our Medical Directors, who worked on two metrics to showcase to other participating CPS’:

  • Focus 2 - Holistic Palliative Care Provision

  • Focus 7 - Community Awareness, Perception & Engagement

How Noah’s Ark supported The Global Treehouse Foundation

  • The submission of an abstract on “Facilitating a Worldwide Community: The Launch of a Novel Tool to Support Children’s Palliative Care Providers in Making Data-Driven Interdisciplinary Service Improvements” to the 9th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (Helsinki, May 2025)

  • Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’s Medical Director, Dr. Tagore Charles acts as an advisor to The Global Treehouse Foundation

  • The creation of a poster for the ICPCN (International Conference on Children's Palliative Care) conference (Manila, November 2025); “Bridging the Gap: Understanding Hospital Staff Perceptions of Hospice Care and Barriers to Referral.”

  • We presented at the Skoll World Forum in Oxford on 3rd April 2025 where the goal was to educate a group of 20-30 international funders to the importance of both palliative and curative approaches for children, using practical examples, video extracts, discussion, and a panel

  • We welcomed Laura Dale-Harris from Global Tree House Foundation and Deborah Bolognesi from the Fondazioe Isabella Seràgnoli who have funded a new children’s hospice, ‘Arca sull’albero’, (which opened in October 2024) in Bologna, Italy. We shared our knowledge on building and running an efficient Children’s Hospice
