Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London and Hertsmere. Our longstanding community-based services will soon be complemented by the services on offer at our new hospice building, The Ark in Barnet.
The children we work with have a range of conditions and often have very complex needs. Our services aim to help the children, their siblings and parents make the most of the time they have together - and we continue to support families after bereavement.
Working with over 500 parents and carers, we have acquired a deep understanding of families’ needs. We understand the need for holistic care, addressing emotional, clinical, social and practical needs. That’s why we tailor our approach to the needs of our families.
In 2008, Noah’s Ark was the first children’s hospice to establish a community volunteering project after identifying that families needed support to spend time with their ill child. Our volunteers make a real impact at home, at events and across the charity.
This year, we will start providing services at our new hospice building, The Ark in Barnet. This fantastic facility has been developed on a 7.5 acre nature reserve and will enable us to offer more services to more families who urgently need our help. It’s the hospice building that London has been crying out for.
