b'Partnering with Great Ormond Street HospitalIn August 2022 we were thrilled to welcome Hannah Butler to the team. Hannah, an experienced and passionate paediatric nurse, is in a joint role with Noahs Ark and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). She spends two days a week at the Louis Dundas Centre at GOSH and three days either at The Ark or out in the community. This joint role has already increased communication and collaboration between hospital, hospice and community palliative care teams in north and central London, helping to improve the quality of life for babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell.I really enjoy my role because it is about supporting children and families to have real choices about their care. It is so important for families to be given clear information so that they understand their options, and for professional teams to work collaboratively, so that families can get the support they need, whenever and wherever they need it. For the children supported by the Great Ormond Street Hospital Palliative Care Team and Noahs Ark, life can be short and unpredictablebut above all it is precious. By working collaboratively and drawing on the strengths of each partner, we can be creative and resourceful in meeting the clinical and holistic needs of those we support. Families can then get on with living their lives and focus on building memoriesmaking the most of their time together.25'
