At Noah’s Ark we help babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, make the most of every day. We provide exceptional care, organise fun activities and days out, and help families do things they never thought possible. We are here to enable those we support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers.
Here are just a few of the activities that we have been up to this summer…
An unforgettable weekend for young carers
Our young carers had an adventure filled weekend at the Young Carers Festival in July – the world’s largest festival for young people with caring responsibilities at home. The festival gave children a chance to hang out with friends, have boundless fun and make memories that last a lifetime.
We would like to thank The Children’s Society and YMCA Fairthorne Group for hosting and allowing the young people we support to enjoy a break from their responsibilities and have their voices heard. It was an absolute blast!
Seaside Fun at The Ark
This summer The Ark was transported to a whole new, and much sandier world, so the children could enjoy some summer holiday fun.
The event included everything from listening to airport sounds, smelling duty-free perfumes, and even a ride in a plane. Once we got to our holiday destination (otherwise known as The Den), we explored the sandpit, built castles and had lots of fun with water beads and a room full of bubbles. Talk about getting into the holiday spirit!
Thank you to our award-winning Play Team and Specialist Carers for using the power of imagination and play to make seaside dreams a reality.
A day at the Zoo
We had the best time at ZSL London Zoo’s BIG Summer of Fun! The children got to experience a world of leaping, roaring, squawking, wildlife. The day was full of fun and adventure, with over 14,000 animals to get up close and personal with.
A huge thank you to our incredible Care Team, who make unforgettable days like this possible.
