About the event
The Great North Run is an iconic half marathon. Starting in Newcastle, the route will take you through the city’s vibrant streets, across the famous Tyne Bridge, leading you to the picturesque coastline of South Shields which forms the final part of the route. With almost 60,000 runners taking part in 2023 and demand for places high, early sign up for this event is highly recommended.
By taking on a challenge event you’ll help us support over 350 babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell – helping them, and their families, to make the most of every day
