We are excited to announce the appointment of Richard Amat, Michelle Mendelsson, Sanjiv Patel and Paul Pomroy to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice board. We are also delighted that Gary Landesberg will take on the newly created role of ‘Chair of Major Giving’.

Our new trustees:
Richard Amat is a graduate of the London School of Economics and a Chartered Accountant. He spent 25 years working for a major US investment bank in a variety of senior finance and operational roles. Since retiring in 2018, Richard has been a volunteer providing support and advice to Noah’s Ark’s Senior Leadership Team on a variety of projects.
Michelle Mendelsson is an Executive Coach and was until recently a Director at Credit Suisse and Head of EMEA Diversity and Inclusion, responsible for the strategic development and implementation of their comprehensive diversity programme. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2000, Michelle worked for Marks and Spencer in a variety of commercial positions. Michelle will chair our ‘People’ subcommittee.
Paul Pomroy is CEO of McDonald’s UK and has been part of its Leadership Team for over a decade, helping to drive the sustained success of the business over the past decade. Under his leadership, the business, together with Franchisees, has invested in a multi-million pound restaurant transformation plan, Experience of the Future. Passionate about people and talent development, Paul will sit on our ‘People’ and ‘Marketing & Communications’ subcommittees.
Sanjiv Patel is CEO of Westgate Healthcare. Sanjiv has a long-standing passion and dedication for health care. He has been a Consultant Anaesthetist at the University College London Hospital since 2012. He has a particular interest in finance and innovation and has been helping grow the Westgate Healthcare brand. Most recently he has facilitated diversification of the group portfolio into the hotel sector. Sanjiv will sit on our ‘Care & Clinical Governance’ and ‘Finance, Risk and Governance’ subcommittees.
Our new Chair of Major Giving:
Gary Landesberg is Chairman & Principal Shareholder of The Arts Club and has been an active investor in the property sector for over 20 years. In addition to his property investments he has been a major investor in the leisure industry both in the UK and Europe. Gary has been instrumental in ensuring its transformation into what has become one of London’s foremost private members’ clubs. As Chair of Major Giving, Gary will support Noah’s Ark’s trustees and senior leadership to grow philanthropic support for the charity.
