We’re proud to collaborate with local schools. Providing a children’s hospice service relies on the support of a large community both to help us raise awareness and generate the vital funds that we need. Schools play an important part in this. Here are just a few ways that we can work together:
Winter Fundraisers
- Christmas Cards – This year’s cards feature our characters coming together to decorate a Christmas tree. They are £4.50 for a pack of 10 and we know our community will love them! Can you help us sell some packs of cards?
- School Fairs – Do you have space for a charity stall at your school fair? We’d love to meet the community and raise awareness and vital funds.
- Christmas Jumper Day – 8th December – Why not hold a mufti-day in aid of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice?
Spring Fundraisers
- Plan ahead for next term – Why not organise a fundraising activity for the Spring term for your school community to take part in? You could:
- Host a walking challenge in the New Year
- Throw a colour party to mark Holi (14th-15th March)
- Organise a flip-a-thon on Pancake Day (4th March).
We are always happy to help offer advice and fundraising materials, including our new cardboard donation boxes.
All Year Round
- Youth Challenge – Our new Youth Challenge comprises of fun activities for children and young people to complete and earn their very own Youth Challenge badge. The challenge runs all year round and is great as a form time or house challenge!
- Lesson Plans – this year we launched our first school lesson plan, themed around Kindness, with the aim of giving back to schools that have shown us endless support. With resources for both teacher-led classes and Noah’s Ark Ambassador-led assemblies, these have already proven to be a fantastic year-round addition to any curriculum. Look out for our next lesson plan launching in the New Year.
If you’d like to arrange for one of our Ambassadors, like Nikki, to host an assembly, please get in touch.
