James Maddison has announced he will dedicate his annual celebrity golf day to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, the official charity partner of Tottenham Hotspur.
The event, held at Centurion Golf Club in St Albans on Tuesday 28th May, will see all funds raised from the day donated to the charity, which supports children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.
Past attendees of the event include notable names from across professional football, including Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, Scott McTominay, Jimmy Bullard, Jermaine Jenas, Jamie Redknapp and Peter Crouch, as well as current Spurs coach Ryan Mason. Comedian Michael McIntyre, singer Tom Grennan, and Love Island stars Chris Hughes and Josh Denzel also attended last year’s event.
The Club recently dedicated the north London derby against Arsenal to Noah’s Ark, with a series of activations taking place around the match to raise funds and awareness of the charity’s vital work.
Ahead of the match, Maddison visited The Ark, a state-of-the-art hospice building in Barnet – which the Club helped raise funds to build as part of its long-term partnership – to spend time with children and families who benefit from the work of the charity.
He undertook a tour of the hospice with Chief Executive Sophie Andrews OBE, visiting The Therapies Wing and The Accessible Playground before meeting with families and hearing their stories.
Maddison said:
“I was blown away following my recent visit to Noah’s Ark by the amazing work done by the charity and the support it receives from the Club. It was a real pleasure to meet with both the staff and families, and I am delighted to be able to give something back by raising funds for the charity at this event.”
It costs over £6 million a year to keep Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice running, with 90% of that coming from voluntary donations. This vital support ensures that they can continue to provide expert and compassionate palliative care for over 350 children who have a life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families.
Sophie Andrews OBE, CEO of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice said:
“We are delighted that James Maddison is dedicating his annual celebrity golf day to us as Spurs’ official charity partner. We’re so grateful for Spurs’ commitment to our partnership which is truly going from strength to strength.”
