Excitement was at an all-time high on Sunday (28th April) as we played away from The Ark, at the electrifying derby match between Tottenham Hotspur and their north London rival, Arsenal.
As the charity partner of Spurs, we were invited to the special game to raise awareness and raise vital funds for Noah’s Ark. Working together since 2016, we have helped to enrich the lives of children who are seriously unwell throughout our community.
The match became more than just a game; it was a beacon of support for Noah’s Ark, with our fundraising awareness campaign in full swing and cheerful volunteers stationed outside the stadium, rallying together to raise much-needed funds to support our hospice services. The focus: to raise crucial support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across North and Central London.
Sophie Andrews OBE, CEO of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice:
“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur and delighted that they have dedicated this day to us. These events give us the chance to shout about the work we do, reaching more people and raising vital funds for children who are seriously unwell and their families.”
Before the players hit the pitch, fans were treated to a touching video featuring Spurs’ Superstar midfielder, James Maddison, paying a visit to The Ark. This video beautifully captured the life-changing support the hospice provides for children who are seriously unwell and their families, helping them to make the most of every day.
But the surprises did not end there! The debut of our away mascot, Rory, added an extra spark of joy to the already buzzing atmosphere. And guess who Rory struck up a friendship with? None other than Chirpy and Lily! Talk about a dream trio, spreading smiles left and right!
One of the most touching moments of the day was witnessing a real dream come true. Supported by Noah’s Ark since her early years, Freya had the opportunity to live out every Spurs fan’s ultimate fantasy as a junior mascot, leading the First Team onto the legendary grounds of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With the roar of 62,000 supporters echoing around her – it was certainly a moment to remember.
