Child-led campaign raises funds for London’s most unwell babies and children.
Noah’s Ark’s Moments That Matter campaign has raised an extraordinary £2million in just 36 hours to support babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell.
The charity’s supporters came together in an unprecedented fundraising drive to ensure that the babies, children, young people – and their families – are able to experience moments that truly matter.
Thanks to the support of our community, we smashed the initial £1.2m target – the annual cost of our nurses and carers. The extra funds will mean that Noah’s Ark can now recruit additional specialist nurses and social workers and continue our vital care at The Ark and in families’ homes throughout the coming months.
As one of the little stars of our video, Jake, said after shielding at home for over six months: “Going to The Ark felt like I was finally free. It was honestly the best time of my life.” The funds raised through this campaign will ensure that the charity is able to continue creating moments that matter for children like Jake; through Covid and beyond.
The campaign was hosted on a unique crowdfunding platform, Charity Extra.
Anthony Hayman, Director of Fundraising & Communications, said:
“We couldn’t have achieved this wonderful result without the contributions of so many people who have poured their heart and soul into this campaign. It will have an unbelievable impact on so many of London’s most unwell babies and children. A huge thank you to every single person who made this possible for Noah’s Ark and the children we support”.
