Welcome to The Ark

We’ve completed the building of The Ark!

WhAt's THE ARK?

The Ark is a home-from-home for seriously unwell children. It’s an inspiring space - set on a 7.5-acre nature reserve in Barnet - for relaxation, adventure and the opportunity for children and families to connect with others facing similar challenges. It's a place where children can be children and not just patients.

WhY HAVE WE BUILT THE ARK?

Research found that there were over 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment area, but no children’s hospice. London was crying out for the facility, so we responded to the need and The Ark was completed in 2019.

WHAT NOW?

The Ark is a hub for children’s palliative care services in our catchment area. It's a place of life and light for over 300 families who work with - and will enable us to support so many more.

Volunteer at the Family Activities Winter Pantomime

"One of the services that provides great support to our family is the Sibling Support Programme. My son has the opportunity to spend time with other children and engage with them."

Parents of Noah's Ark child

"We shared so many firsts with Noah's Ark - Ellie's first park trip, her first footprint - they will stay in our hearts forever. The team always had a supreme optimism about what Ellie could do."
