Welcome to The Ark

We’ve now completed the building of The Ark!

The Ark is set on a 7.5 acre nature reserve in Barnet. It’s a home-from-home for seriously unwell children, where they can be children and not just patients. It’s an inspiring space for relaxation, adventure and the opportunity for children and families to connect with others facing similar challenges.

Research found that there were over 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment area, but no children’s hospice. London was crying out for the facility, so we responded to the need and The Ark was completed in 2019.

The Ark has been built to be a hub for children’s palliative care services in the area. It will be a place of life and light for over 300 families who we already work with and hundreds more. But we still need your support to help us to bring The Ark to life.

"Nobody can take Alonso’s illnesses away but over the last seven years, Noah’s Ark’s wonderful social workers and carers have put a smile on our faces, have fought for us, and given me a safe space to cry my tears, so I can stay strong for Alonso. Noah’s Ark is like a family to us now."

Enkeledja, mother of Alonso

"End-of-life care and overnight stays are so vital to families like ours, but sadly Noah’s Ark wasn’t able to provide them for Ben. My hope is that the new hospice building will be there in time for Sophie."

Rose, grandmother of Sophie

"It is crucial for us when selecting a charity partner that the charity be more than just a good cause. The charity has to have inspirational and strategic leaders and a commitment to total transparency. Noah’s Ark instilled confidence from our first meeting and the partnership has gone from strength to strength."
