Welcome to The Ark

We’ve completed the building of The Ark!

WhAt's THE ARK?

The Ark is a home-from-home for seriously unwell children. It’s an inspiring space - set on a 7.5-acre nature reserve in Barnet - for relaxation, adventure and the opportunity for children and families to connect with others facing similar challenges. It's a place where children can be children and not just patients.

WhY HAVE WE BUILT THE ARK?

Research found that there were over 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment area, but no children’s hospice. London was crying out for the facility, so we responded to the need and The Ark was completed in 2019.

WHAT NOW?

The Ark is a hub for children’s palliative care services in our catchment area. It's a place of life and light for over 300 families who work with - and will enable us to support so many more.

Testimonials

"Noah’s Ark is ideally placed to fill the need for additional palliative care services for children in North London. The hospice building will provide a central hub for local charities and health and social care service providers to work effectively in partnership and provide outstanding care for children and young people and their families. "

Dr Finella Craig - Lead Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust

"End-of-life care and overnight stays are so vital to families like ours, but sadly Noah’s Ark wasn’t able to provide them for Ben. My hope is that the new hospice building will be there in time for Sophie."

Rose, grandmother of Sophie

“It is fantastic to see staff and students at Highgate School supporting a cause that is close to the hearts of everyone at Tottenham Hotspur FC. I would like to wish them the best of luck with the rest of their charity week and hope that they raise lots of money to help build The Ark.”

Fernando Llorente, player at Tottenham Hotspur FC
