Shrimad Rajchandra UK supports bereavement training for Noah’s Ark’s “Superheroes"

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is delighted to have been chosen as one of the three beneficiaries of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK’s “Support our Superheroes” campaign, who have generously donated £1,000 to fund bereavement training for staff at Noah’s Ark as part of their campaign to support keyworkers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Noah’s Ark opened its In-Patient Unit at The Ark earlier this year and there have been a number of children who have received end-of-life care at The Ark. This has made it even more urgent that staff fully understand the implications of working through the bereavement process with children and their families.

Noah’s Ark’s Head of Holistic Services, Charlotte Alldridge, explains “As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen a significant rise in demand for our end-of-life care and bereavement services. This grant will enable the delivery of urgently needed bereavement training for our Care Team, ensuring that staff are equipped and supported to cope and respond to this ongoing crisis.”

We were so pleased to welcome Ashwin Mehta and Chandan Shah from Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK to The Ark recently, and are thrilled that the Bushey-based charity has recognised the incredible work of Noah’s Ark’s Care Team. We thank the Trustees and all those involved with Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK for their support of Noah’s Ark and dedication to helping the local community.
