Building The Ark campaign wins IoF Award

03 JUNE 2020

Noah’s Ark was victorious at the prestigious Institute of Fundraising annual awards

The Building The Ark campaign has been chosen as Fundraising Campaign of the Year 2020 by the Institute of Fundraising. The winners were announced on twitter, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Noah's Ark beat stiff competition from Concern Worldwide, YoungMinds, a group of Scottish hospital charities and the Myton Hospice. The Awards celebrate and reward true excellence within the not-for-profit sector, awarding the work done by charities and individuals who continue to raise the bar within the sector.

This is the fourth major national charity award that Noah's Ark has won in recent months, following success at the Charity Today and Charity Times Awards

The Building The Ark campaign revolutionised the charity, raising over £12million and enabling the building of The Ark, a new children’s hospice building for North and Central London. Through a combination of exceptional major donor relationships and a community fundraising campaign, the charity raised an unprecedented amount of money to build, fit out and run The Ark. The campaign will have a direct and lasting impact on some of the most seriously ill children you could possibly meet.

Alison Goodman, Deputy Chief Executive at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, said:

“Winning the Institute of Fundraising Award is testament to the phenomenal work being carried out by the charity. I’m so proud that our team has been recognised for its outstanding donor care and the close relationships that we’ve developed with all of our donors. The work with children and families drives us to do more and raise more every day and it’s fantastic that we’ve been recognised for the impact that we’re continuing to have.”

The IoF Awards are the pre-eminent celebration of best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector.
