Noah’s Ark seeks ‘extraordinary’ funding boost for nurses and carers
Noah’s Ark has today revealed that our up-coming ‘Moments that Matter’ campaign will strive to raise £1.2m in 36 hours (22 – 23 November), which is the annual cost of the charity’s nurses and carers. Every donation given to the campaign on those days will be doubled (up to £600,000).
For the children we care for, life is not measured by time. It’s measured by moments. Our specialist nurses and carers are dedicated to creating Moments that Matter for London’s most unwell babies and children. That’s why Noah’s Ark supporters will come together in a unique, unforgettable way to pay for the charity’s nurses and carers for an entire year.
The campaign will use a mechanism akin to a digital gala dinner, hosted on a crowdfunding platform. Our network of brilliant ‘Team Leaders’ will be reaching out to their friends, family and wider networks in order to help raise these vitally-needed funds. Each donation will be doubled by a matched giving pot, secured from some of the warmest friends of the charity.
Daniel and Holly Geey, Team Leaders, said: “Having visited The Ark and met the team, we know how special a charity Noah’s Ark is. We are incredibly proud to be Team Leaders and are looking forward to introducing our friends and networks to this vitally important cause and exciting campaign.”
Anthony Hayman, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Noah’s Ark, said: “We’re so excited to bring our supporters together to complete this extraordinary challenge to help London’s most unwell children. I know that the Noah's Ark community will come together to make a huge difference to the babies and children who the charity supports".
