The amazing staff from Cynergy Bank have walked, cycled, run…and even rollerbladed their way to raising over £6,000 in one day.
The 25 Cynergy Bank colleagues – and their families - came together to support their Charity of the Year, Noah’s Ark, with a virtual event at the start of August. In total, they travelled over 360km, the equivalent of completing the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc and the Three Peaks challenge, all in one day.
The team from Cynergy has supported Noah’s Ark for over a year, following the charity’s progress as it moved into The Ark and now through the Covid crisis. That’s why the group decided to put on this virtual event, with colleagues from across the UK (and even in Cyprus!) taking part.
Eleanor Whelan, HR Business Partner at Cynergy Bank, said: “I’ve been to The Ark and can see the huge difference that Noah’s Ark makes to extremely unwell babies and children. Their support is vital and life-changing. That’s why everyone at Cynergy poured their heart and soul into this fundraiser… and now we want to do so much more for Noah’s Ark!”
Sophie Andrews, Chief Executive of Noah’s Ark, said: “This is an extraordinary effort by everyone from Cynergy Bank. We’re so grateful that 25 Cynergy staff, as well as their families and pets (!), put in such a supreme effort to support our charity. On behalf of everyone at Noah’s Ark – and the babies, children and their families who we support – a massive thank you for the huge difference you’ve made”.
