Custard on Toast, a clever book of poems for kids ‘aged 6 to 106’, has managed to raise an incredible £264 for Noah's Ark Children's Hospice.
When thinking of your favourite breakfast food, the last thing that would come to mind is Custard on Toast... but it's actually a wonderfully original book of nonsense poems and other verses, written by our clever supporter and author, Judy Davies.
An avid member of Glebeland's Indoor Bowls Club, which has supported Noah’s Ark since 2015, Judy was inspired to donate a portion of the proceeds from her book sales to Noah’s Ark after hearing about how Coronovirus has affected our services over the past few months.
As Judy says: "Noah’s Ark is a really worthy charity which, as with many charities, has suffered the impact of Covid-19 and its negative impact on the economy. Noah’s Ark makes such a vital contribution to the children in its care (and to their parents), that I am delighted to have been able to donate to Noah’s Ark 20% of the proceeds from sales of the current edition of my children’s poetry book, CUSTARD ON TOAST.
