Memorial Butterflies

Remember and celebrate a loved one with a beautiful butterfly in our Woodland Walk

Located in our beautiful 7.5 acre nature reserve at The Ark, these hand-crafted butterflies offer a unique and meaningful way to remember a loved one whilst raising vital funds for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

The butterflies are designed and created by artist Paul Cox and are available in several colours for you to choose from - pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and magenta. A stainless steel tag attached to each butterfly can be engraved with an inscription as a way of celebrating and honouring someone who was very special to you.

Your butterfly will be placed in our Butterfly Woodland Walk for up to one year. After this time, you can choose to either keep your butterfly at The Ark for a modest annual donation or you can collect it to take home and put in your own garden to treasure forever.

How to dedicate a butterfly

Once your butterfly has been inscribed and added to our Butterfly Woodland Walk, we will send you a certificate along with details of how you can visit The Ark and see your butterfly. When the time comes, we will contact you to ask whether you would like to continue your support for another year or collect your butterfly to treasure at home.

How your butterfly will help us

  • A whole family being able to enjoy a Noah’s Ark Family Day together
  • Multi-sensory toys which can play a bit part in a child’s development
  • A music therapy session for a seriously unwell child or their sibling
